The West Kentucky Workforce Board (WKWB) is seeking its next Executive Director following the retirement of its long-time director.

This leadership position will guide workforce development efforts across the 17 westernmost counties of Kentucky, working with businesses, workforce partners and community leaders to strengthen the region’s workforce and oversee federal workforce programs and strategic initiatives.

Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least eight years of relevant workforce management experience. A master’s degree is preferred.

The Kentucky Career Center will host a Rapid Response meeting for O’Charley’s employees on Monday, September 14, 2026, in Hopkinsville.

Rapid Response services are designed to assist workers affected by layoffs or business closures by connecting them with resources to help navigate the transition to new employment. Depending on individual needs, assistance may include information about unemployment benefits, job search and placement services, résumé and interview preparation, career counseling, and education or training opportunities.
