Ken Paxton is once again weaponizing the justice system in an attempt to steal an election. This is corruption at its worst, from the most corrupt Attorney General in Texas history.

Paxton is attacking a Black elected official for doing her job. And he’s sowing chaos to shake confidence in our elections and our democracy.

I’ve seen this playbook before. As County Clerk, I oversaw the election that ended Donald Trump’s first term.

There’s only one way to beat it: vote now, and bring every eligible voter you know with you. When we win decisively at the ballot box, we make our elections that much harder to undermine.

“Dolores Huerta spent her life fighting for the idea that people whose labor sustains our country deserve dignity, fair pay, and a voice in their future. She brought workers together and showed them the power they had to demand better.

Here in Houston, a city built by working people and strengthened by generations of immigrant families, that fight is deeply personal. We honor her legacy by standing up for the workers who keep our city moving and making sure they share in its prosperity.

Our hearts are with her family and everyone she inspired. May we carry her courage forward. Sí, se puede.”

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we honor survivors, stand with those undergoing treatment, and remember the loved ones we’ve lost. 💗

We also recognize the families, caregivers, and health care professionals who provide strength and support every step of the way.

As the month comes to a close, join the movement by wearing pink tomorrow, October 28, in honor of everyone affected by breast cancer. 💕
