Harmony School of Exploration

During the 4th and final day of STEM Summer Camp – “Penguin Launch,” students embarked on an eco-expedition to investigate penguins in their Antarctic habitat using a Snow-ver, a rover equipped with a robotic research penguin that could roll and glide across icy surfaces. Students then used design thinking skills to create flippers and launchers to propel their own plush magnetic penguins.

Day 3 Summer Stem Camp

Today, students participated in the “In Control” activity, where they took control of their innovative journey by testing their navigation skills through studying travel maps and discovering how artificial intelligence (AI) is used in everyday road trip tools such as GPS systems. Students also assembled their own receivers and custom control panels while practicing communication and decision-making skills during exploration activities.

Day 2 Summer Stem Camp

Today, students participated in the “Illusion Workshop” activity, where they were introduced to captivating optical illusions and discovered the mechanics of how the mind and eyes perceive surroundings. Students then blended science and art to create their own spinning animation devices and moving props, becoming special effects experts while designing entertainment experiences of the future.

Thanks to Mrs. Arslan and Mr. Jose for guiding our students throughout the day.

Today, students participated in the “Claw Arcade” activity, where they explored hands-on physics and engineering concepts by designing and building DIY claw machines inspired by claws found in nature, such as lobster claws, eagle talons, and crab pincers. It was a fun and engaging learning experience for everyone!

Mrs. Arslan and Mr. Jose did a wonderful job leading and guiding students throughout the activity as they collaborated, problem-solved, and showed creativity.
