Friends, we are on the home stretch but we can't let up now! We're just three days away from Tuesday so if you still have your ballot make a point to drop if off at ANY Colorado drop box that is near to you. It is too late to send your ballot by mail at this point.

If you haven't received a ballot your best bet is to go to a voting site. Our Clear Creek County voting site is in the Georgetown Court House. Plug in this address to your GPS and you'll be there in no time:

Clear Creek County Courthouse
405 Argentine St
Georgetown, CO 80444

If you're closer to another voting site, go there instead!

Also, if you're not registered to vote yet it is not too late. You can actually register and vote on the same day in Colorado so don't let this stop you.

WE CAN HAVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE WE WANT IF WE DO THE WORK!

The Office of the Clerk and Recorder is responsible for conducting primary, general, and special elections held in the county; voter registration; recording and processing public documents; issuing and recording marriage licenses; and titling and registering of motor vehicles.

Given the constant attacks on our Democracy and our voting processes by the Republican party it's of the utmost importance that we have someone who is reliable doing the work of County Clerk and Recorder. Because of this it's an easy choice for us to support Lisa Manifold for Clerk & Recorder. Lisa has long been active in the community and has already been doing the work as a member of the Idaho Springs City Council.

We have nothing but confidence that she will serve us well and will protect our elections and institutions in the years to come. If you'd like to learn more about Lisa, or if you'd like to contribute to her campaign go to:

Make sure to vote for Lisa and all the other great Democratic candidates as well as 1A, 87 and NN!

VOTE, VOTE VOTE!!

The Clerk & Recorder’s office isn’t one we think about every day but it’s a vital part of life in Clear Creek County. It’s where you record documents, register vehicles, obtain a marriage license, and exercise your right to vote. It’s where you access your government face to face. And becau...

We are thrilled about the incredible slate of candidates that the statewide Democratic Party is supporting this year. Getting these candidates elected is a very important first step to achieving the goals and quality of life that we all want.

Given how close we are to the midterms (just 6 days!!!) we are asking that you drop off your ballot at ANY Colorado drop box instead of mailing it. This will ensure that your vote is counted. It is also EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you follow all of the directions on the ballot and the envelope including signing your ballot. Here are the Clear Creek County Ballot Drop Off Locations:

1. Clear Creek County Courthouse (outside main entrance), 405 Argentine St, Georgetown

2. Clear Creek Health and Wellness Center, 1969 Miner St, Idaho Springs

3. Clear Creek High School, 185 Beaver Brook Canyon Rd, Evergreen
Evergreen Library, 5000 County Hwy 73, Evergreen

If you are not registered to vote...DO NOT FRET! Colorado allows Coloradans to register to vote all the way up to and through Election Day. The easiest way to do this at this point is to register at ANY Colorado voting site when you go to vote. Our Clear Creek County voting site is at the courthouse in Georgetown:

We are proud to support State Senator Dylan Roberts because he puts the community first, and most importantly, GET'S THINGS DONE!

Politics is loud. Results are harder to find. While Washington gets most of the attention, decisions made at the Colorado State Capitol often have a much more direct impact on our daily lives: the cost...

Great insights from County Commissioner Candidate Gould for Clear Creek on the impact that I70 has on our community. We are proud to support Chris and we're excited to see him in action serving our community as a County Commissioner!

The estimate accounts for lost productivity, time spent in traffic and tourism dollars at risk, as construction adds pressure on nearby businesses.

Everything is expensive these days and Coloradan's deserve better. As such we support Amendment 87 because of the relief it will give citizens from a tax perspective and for the boost it will give to our education, health care and early childcare programs. Under Amendment 87 97% of Coloradans will see a decrease in taxes and only those earning $500,000 and up will pay more in taxes.

Amendment 87 establishes a graduated state income tax, ranging from 3.7% to 8.4%, based on household annual income. Additionally, this measure removes the uniform tax
rate requirement from the Taxpayer's Bill of Rights (TABOR) and allocates the revenue to the Colorado Futures Account, which funds K-12 public school education, health care, and
early childcare programs.

The proposed tax brackets are:

• $0 – $25,000: 3.7%
• $25,001 – $100,000: 4.2%
• $100,001 – $500,000: 4.4% (current rate)
• $500,001 – $750,000: 7.4%
• $750,001 – $1,000,000: 7.9%
• Above $1,000,001: 8.4%

Vote, Vote, Vote!

10/22/2026

We are recommending that people vote yes on 1A. 1A will Increase the county lodging tax from 2% to 6% to cover public safety, fire and EMS
services, road maintenance, early learning, and local workforce housing. This tax will predominantly affect visitors to the county and not locals.

This is important because although we are a small county in terms of population, we carry a heavy load in regards to the cost of services that we provide to people who are traveling through on their way to other locations. 1A will help to offset this cost while also improving our own access to county services.

If you're looking for more information and recommendations for candidates, ballot initiatives and amendments you can reference our voting guide which is available at www.clearcreekcountydemocrats.com.
