Estill County Water District No.1 The Estill County Water District No. 1 was established in 1964. We have a customer base of approximately 3,800 and a population served of over 13,000.

We are currently serving 98% of the county and are still growing.

PUBLIC NOTICE: BOIL WATER ADVISORY EXTENDED
Estill County Water District

Estill County Water District is continuing work to paint the Winston water tank and rehabilitate the Cedar Grove pump station. Due to this work, the boil water advisory issued October 21, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. is being extended and is expected to remain in effect through early Tuesday morning, October 27, 2026.

Customers on the west side of Estill County may also experience periods of low water pressure or temporary outages as we adjust pump run times during the project.

Customers under the advisory should continue to boil tap water for three minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, or making ice. Allow the water to cool before consuming it.

Please continue to follow the advisory until Estill County Water District officially announces that it has been lifted. We will notify customers in the same manner when boiling water is no longer necessary.

Estill County Water District is painting the Winston water tank and rehabilitating the Cedar Grove pump station.

During this work, customers on the west side of Estill County may experience periods of low water pressure or temporary outages as we adjust pump run times to maintain water service throughout the affected areas.

If you experience low pressure or an outage, please call our office at 606-723-3795. After hours, this same number will connect you to our emergency phone.
