Our Night of Promise was filled with so much love, hope, and community and it’s all because of YOU!

To everyone who showed up, sponsored, donated, volunteered, shared our mission, and believed in the families we serve… thank you doesn’t feel big enough. Because of your support, families in our community are one step closer to stability, to peace, to home.

Watching a family bravely share their story, seeing a room full of people lean in with compassion, and feeling the joy and connection throughout the night… it’s a reminder of why we do what we do.

This work is not easy but nights like this remind us we’re not doing it alone.

🚨 IMPORTANT GALA UPDATE – VENUE CHANGE 🚨

Due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control, our venue has unexpectedly closed its doors. So we have secured a new location for our Night of Promise Gala – “Sweeter in the South.”

✨ The good news: the gala is still happening on the same date, at the same time, with the same amazing vibes!

We had such a great time at the Hilti Volunteer Fair! It was a pleasure connecting with so many passionate employees and sharing more about the work we do at Family Promise of Irving.

Shelter Program Openings Available

We currently have openings in our in-shelter program for families experiencing homelessness.

Our program is not an emergency shelter. It is a structured, supportive program where families stay in our shelter facility while working toward long-term stability.

Families in the program receive wraparound case management services and commit to working on our three core goals:
• Make Money – securing or increasing income
• Save Money – building financial stability
• Find Housing – securing permanent housing

While in the program, families live in community with other families and are supported by our amazing, loving, and trauma-informed volunteers who provide dinner during the week and encouragement along the way. 💙

Basic qualifications include (but are not limited to):
• Must have children under the age of 18 in their care
• Must be able to pass a drug screening
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must not be experiencing current domestic violence

✨ A Milestone Worth Celebrating ✨

Today, our hearts are overflowing as we celebrate the first graduate family of the year from our in-shelter program. 💛

This incredible mom-and-daughter duo faced challenges that would have stopped many — but instead, they rose. With courage, determination, and an unbreakable bond, Mom set goals and crushed every single one of them. She worked hard, earned income, saved diligently, and refused to give up — not just for herself, but for her daughter’s future.

And now… the moment they’ve been working toward is here. 🏡
Mom is moving into her much-deserved apartment, carrying with her confidence, stability, and the powerful knowledge that she did this.

This is what resilience looks like.
This is what hope in action feels like.
This is why we do what we do.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you and make this night sweeter than ever.

Thank you to every volunteer and congregation who stood with us at our Volunteer Appreciation Christmas Party. The impact we celebrated in 2025 exists because of your time, your faithfulness, and your willingness to show up again and again. This work does not happen without you.

That night, we also marked a moment that matters.

After six years of steadfast service as Case Manager, Josey steps into her new role as Director of Program Development and Family Services this January. Her leadership, devotion to families, and deep roots in our mission have helped shape who we are today, and who we are becoming.

We are grateful for her heart, her courage, and the future unfolding before us. 💙
