HIGH RISK REGISTERED S*X OFFENDER
The Jamestown Police Department wants to notify Jamestown residents regarding a new high risk s*x offender who is residing within the city of Jamestown.

Mr. Peters has been assigned a High risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General.
Offense: Gross Sexual Imposition – when Peters was 12 years old, he had s*xual contact with a 5 year old female. Peters touched the victim’s va**na, had the victim touch his p***s, and put his p***s in the victim’s va**na and ej******ed. Conviction Date: 10/08/2002 in Cass County Juvenile Court.
Disposition: 1 year custody of DJS.
Offense: Poss of Material-Sex Conduct by Minor – Peters had over 100 images of naked prepubescent girls in a file on his phone. Conviction Date: 05/02/2017 in Barnes County District Court.
Disposition: 24 months; 123 days credit; 2 years supervised probation; concurrent.
Offense: Possession of Materials-8 counts – Peters possessed images depicting minor females engaging in various s*xual acts with adult males. The ages of the victims were determined to range from approx. 7-14 years old.
Conviction Date: 02/10/2020 in Barnes County District Court.
Disposition: 5 years; 61 days credit; 3 years supervised probation; counts 1-8 concurrent; consecutive with case #02-2017-CR-4.
Peters is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders or their families, landlords, or employers will be turned over for prosecution.
