September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

Su***de is a serious public health issue that affects individuals, families, friends, and communities. As a Coroner’s Office, we see the devastating impact that su***de can have on the people left behind. While our work often begins after a loss, prevention starts with recognizing when someone may be struggling and making sure they know they are not alone.

If you are struggling, please know that you matter. Your life has value, and it is okay to ask for help. Sometimes reaching out to a friend, family member, or professional can be the first step toward getting the support you need.

This month, we encourage everyone to check in on the people around you, listen without judgment, and don't be afraid to start the conversation.

🚨 CAR CRUISE POSTPONED 🚨

Due to ongoing storm-related incidents and the continued response to these events, the West Hills Regional Fire Department’s 4th Annual Labor Day Weekend Car Cruise has been postponed.

The event will be rescheduled for a date TBD. We apologize for the postponement and any inconvenience this may cause to our participants, vendors, sponsors, and everyone who was planning to attend.

Our priority is ensuring the safety of our community and our members during this time.

We will provide further information regarding the new date and event details as soon as it becomes available.

🚨 WESTMONT BOROUGH — STATE OF EMERGENCY 🚨

Effectively immediately, Westmont Borough has declared a State of Emergency due to ongoing storm-related incidents and hazardous conditions.

⚠️ Please stay out of Westmont Borough if at all possible. Do NOT use Westmont Borough as a travel route or attempt to travel through the borough.

Emergency crews are actively working throughout the area. Keeping roadways clear will allow responders to safely access those who need assistance.

Please stay home, stay safe, and avoid unnecessary travel.
