A little Halloween fun at Sault Tribe Housing Authority

We had a wonderful time welcoming a group of local kids to the office for some trick-or-treat fun! Our office was filled with little wolves, superheroes, princesses, and all kinds of creative costumes. We loved seeing everyone dressed up and getting into the Halloween spirit!

Thank you to the little trick-or-treaters, their teachers, their parents, and everyone who helped make the visit so much fun. We hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween!

A few Halloween safety reminders for families:
🎃 Stay with an adult and make sure young children are always supervised.
👻 Use sidewalks and crosswalks, and look both ways before crossing the street.
🔦 Carry a flashlight or wear something reflective so drivers can see you.
🍬 Check all treats before eating and throw away anything that is unwrapped or looks tampered with.
🚗 Watch for cars, driveways, and traffic, especially after dark.

The Material Request includes the following:

Description: Supply / deliver one (1) new ¾ Ton 4x4 Double Cab with 6 ½’ Box and Plow or equal per minimum specifications to 154 Parkside, Kincheloe, MI 49788
a.
STHA requests to trade in one (1) 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 4x4 Reg Cab Long Box Plow Truck, one (1) 2019 Ram ProMaster 1500 Cargo High Roof Van, and one (1) 2015 Ford F-250 4x4 with Tommy Gate G2 Dual Drive.

Signed Certifications and Representations of Offerors MUST be submitted with bid

Delivery to Kincheloe, Michigan will be required. No installation will be required.

Pursuant to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA), enacted as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Pub. L. 117-58, 41 U.S.C. § 8301 note, the Tribal Recipient of the Federal Financial Assistance used to fund this infrastructure project is required to apply a domestic content procurement preference (the “Buy America Preference” or “BAP”) for all construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of public infrastructure, including buildings and real property, unless application of the BAP has been waived by HUD. Accordingly, this agreement shall be carried out in accordance with BABA.

TEMPORARY WATER SERVICE OUTAGE

Residents in Chi Chuk and Shawano are currently experiencing a temporary water service outage.

The Water Department is working to repair a damaged line. At this time, residents may be without water for the remainder of today. Crews are working to restore service as soon as possible, but a specific restoration time cannot be confirmed.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate residents’ patience while repairs are being completed.

We will provide an update when more information is available.
