Tennessee voters will see Amendment 2 on the November 3, 2026 ballot.

Amendment 2 addresses the state’s authority to impose a statewide property tax. If approved by voters, the Tennessee Constitution would be amended to prohibit the state from levying a tax on real property.

As Election Day approaches, the Kingsport Chamber encourages our community to review the official ballot language and information from reliable sources so you can make an informed decision at the polls.

We were pleased to welcome elected officials and community leaders to Your Kingsport Chamber’s Reception for our Elected Officials last night!

We’re grateful to those representing the Kingsport Board of Mayor and Aldermen, Kingsport City Schools Board of Education, Tennessee General Assembly and Sullivan County Commission for joining us and taking the time to connect with our local business and community leaders.
