Rangers. Riverhawks. All heart. 💗🏐

Some of the best lessons our students learn happen when a community comes together for something bigger than themselves.

At La Crosse Logan High School, the Rangers and the La Crosse Central High School Riverhawks came together for the annual Battle for a Cause, raising $3,610.31 to support Logan English teacher Sheila Wirkus and volleyball mom Kelsey Schieffer, both navigating breast cancer. In a beautiful act of generosity, Sheila asked that every dollar go directly to the Schieffer family.

For our students, this is what service looks like up close. It's turning school spirit into real support, building connections beyond their own school hallways, and learning that they have the power to make a difference right now.

For 25 years, this tradition has reminded us that while the rivalry is real, there's something bigger that connects these two schools. On the court, they play to win. Beyond it, they remind two families that they don't have to face this fight alone.
