🔥 Fire Prevention Month 2026 is underway, and this year’s theme — Charge Into Fire Safety — reminds everyone to use and charge lithium‑ion battery devices safely.

Quick safety tips:

• Use approved chargers
• Charge on hard, flat surfaces
• Stop using devices that feel hot, swollen, or smell odd
• Keep e‑bikes, scooters, and tools away from exits while charging

A few simple habits can prevent a fire and protect your home. Let’s all Charge Into Fire Safety this October.

Congratulations to Hunter Bailey, one of our two September recipients of the Rise and Shine Award!

Hunter is a student in our Fire Science pathway who consistently makes a positive impact through his attitude, willingness to help, and the way he approaches the people and challenges around him.

His teacher, Ms. Davis, shared:

“Having Hunter in the classroom is a breath of fresh air. He notices the little things and often takes care of a need before anyone even realizes they need help. Hunter has a great attitude, looks for the good in every situation, and doesn’t complain when things get hard. He simply keeps going, gets the job done, and gives his best. He’s the kind of student who makes a difference just by being himself.”

Keep shining, Hunter!
