This September, we worked with Lighthouse Christian Academy on an incentive project for students to visit the library and sign up for a library card!

Pictured is Julietta, the winner of a drawing comprised of other LCA students that visited their library, holding her library swag prize!

We love working with our partners to bring new happy faces into the library and sharing the love of reading.

Help Shape the Library’s Future: Community Input Session

Your library is beginning a strategic planning process, and we want to hear from you. Join us for an open community conversation about the services, programs, spaces, and priorities that matter most to you.

Share what the library does well, what could improve, and what you hope to see in the years ahead. Your ideas will help guide the library’s future plans and ensure it continues to meet the needs of our community.

All community members are welcome, whether you use the library often, occasionally, or would like to use it more.

While each session will have a focus area, all are welcome to attend any session.
To see all sessions and to register, visit bit.ly/ACLSPlan

The public is welcome to attend in-person or via the online Zoom Meeting platform.

To ensure a secure online meeting, those interested in attending via Zoom can send an email to [email protected] to request the meeting credentials. Email requests for attending will be accepted until 1:00 PM on Monday, November 2.

Two weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting the Leadership Allegany Class of 2027 during the Arts and Entertainment Day. Shea Morse, our Coordinator of Public Services, showcased all of the wonderful services the library provides to our community.
Leadership Allegany is a program through the Chamber of Commerce. This program hosts local leaders, business owners, non-profit employees, and passionate community members with the goal of bringing positive impact on our community.
We look forward to seeing this class in action as they champion community projects!

What hopes, concerns, and experiences are shaping life in our community?

Join the library for a small-group, guided conversation where community members can listen to one another, share lived experiences, and reflect on what matters most. This is not a debate, lecture, or town hall. It is a chance to speak from personal experience and hear from neighbors in a respectful setting.
