🌟 LEVEL UP Student Spotlight: Calli Fell!

Some students lead by being the loudest voice in the room. Others lead simply by the example they set every day.

Calli, a senior from McCutcheon High School, is one of those students!

Nominated by Mrs. Newhart, Calli continues to stand out in Exercise Science through her knowledge, maturity, and dedication. She's dependable, takes pride in her work, and consistently goes above and beyond what's expected.

What makes Calli special is that she doesn't seek attention or recognition. She simply shows up, puts in the effort, treats others with respect, and sets a positive example for those around her.

💪 That's Professionalism and Responsibility in action — and exactly what being Career Ready is all about!

👏 Keep leading by example and LEVELING UP, Calli!

🌟 LEVEL UP Student Spotlight: Isaiah Correa!
Isaiah, a senior from Lafayette Jefferson High School, is showing what it looks like to take care of business in Auto 1!
Nominated by Mrs. Tragesser, Isaiah consistently goes above and beyond in both the classroom and the Manufacturing Lab. During the Go Kart Build, he regularly stays after to help clean and organize, and before he leaves, he checks to see if there’s anything else that needs to be done.
And he’s not just putting in the work in the lab — Isaiah has been completing his bookwork a full week ahead of schedule! He works hard, stays on top of his responsibilities, and is always willing to help his classmates.
That combination of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork is exactly what being Career Ready is all about.
👏 Keep taking care of business and LEVELING UP, Isaiah! 🏎️🔧

🌟 LEVEL UP Student Spotlight: Owen Garcia-Valencia!
Owen, a junior from Lafayette Virtual Academy, is making an impression in our Auto 1 program.
Nominated by Mrs. Tragesser, Owen regularly stays after class to help clean and reset the Manufacturing Lab during their Go Kart Build. He notices what needs to be done, gets to work without being asked, and even checks to see if there’s anything else he can help with before leaving.
Owen also brings a positive attitude to class, asks thoughtful questions, and genuinely wants to learn.
His initiative, responsibility, and willingness to help are great examples of Career Ready skills in action.
👏 Great work, Owen — keep LEVELING UP! 🏎️🔧

🏃‍♀️ Program Highlight: Exercise Science
There’s never a dull moment in Exercise Science!
From pickleball at McCaw Park and student-led lessons to skeletal anatomy and putting stress-management strategies into practice, these students have been busy learning in all kinds of ways.
What we love most is that so much of that learning goes beyond a textbook. Students are moving, leading, working together, trying new things, and building skills they can take with them well beyond the classroom.
💪 Hands-on learning. Stronger connections. Brighter futures.

🌟 LEVEL UP Student Spotlight: Liam Virkler!
Liam, a senior from Harrison High School, has set a high bar in our Motorsports program.
Nominated by Mr. Locker, Liam is the kind of student who sees what needs to be done and gets to work. He takes on challenging projects, asks great questions, helps his classmates, accepts feedback, and can be trusted to follow through.
What really stands out, though, is the impact he has on the people around him. Liam doesn't just work to improve his own skills — he helps his classmates succeed, too.
His initiative, responsibility, leadership, and professionalism are exactly what our Career Ready skills are all about.
👏 Liam has definitely LEVEL'D UP. At this rate, we might need to start working on LEVEL 2! 🏁🔧

Learning electrical work means getting the tools in your hands and putting your skills into practice!
Our Electrical students have been busy in the lab working with framed wall stations, measuring, installing electrical components, and gaining hands-on experience that mirrors the kind of work they’ll encounter in the field.
Every project is another opportunity to build skills, confidence, and experience for what comes next.
⚡ Hands-on skills. Real-world experience. Get Career Ready.

E.T.E.A.L. students recently toured Purdue’s SMART Foundry and Bechtel Design and Innovation Center, getting a firsthand look at lab spaces they could one day work in as Purdue students.
During the visit, students learned about sand casting, including its benefits and real-world uses — and this experience isn’t over yet!
Over the next few weeks, students will be designing their own 3D prints and turning those designs into sand castings with the Purdue METAL team. 🔥
Hands-on experiences like this give students a chance to explore what’s possible beyond the classroom and see where their skills could take them.

🌟 LEVEL UP Student Spotlight: Jacey Provo!

Jacey, a senior from McCutcheon High School, is taking the lead in our Criminal Justice Capstone program!

As team lead for a cold case investigation, Jacey has kept her classmates organized, engaged, and on task. She has also shown incredible initiative by stepping outside her comfort zone and reaching out to outside organizations and individuals to gather additional information about the case.

Her leadership, initiative, professionalism, teamwork, and responsibility are real examples of Career Ready skills in action.

👏 Keep leading the way, Jacey, and keep LEVELING UP!
