For LaFayette junior Jerod Olrich and senior Dominick Albro, being part of the combined team meant early mornings, long days, daily trips to practice, and friendships that go far beyond the football field.

🎨🛹 Rooted in Culture. Inspired by Tradition. Expressed Through Art!

What does it mean to be a contemporary Indigenous artist in 2026? Our 8th graders at Onondaga Nation School explored that question through a skateboard deck art project inspired by contemporary Indigenous artist Frank Buffalo Hyde!

Under the guidance of art teacher Mary Mercurio, students created unique designs celebrating Haudenosaunee culture, identity, traditions and personal stories. From the Three Sisters 🌽🫘🎃 to powerful connections with family, nature and Turtle Island, each piece tells a story all its own!

🧡 November is Native American Heritage Month! Celebrate our students’ creativity and cultural expression by visiting the Onondaga Free Library Teen Zone, where their artwork will be on display throughout the month.

Stop by, explore the artwork and see how our young artists are bringing tradition into the present through their own creative lens! 🎨✨

🎃👻 Spooky, scary, and a little bit hilarious! 👻🎃

From classic costumes to Halloween favorites, LaFayette brought the tricks, treats, and plenty of laughs! 🧙‍♀️🧛‍♂️🦸‍♀️ We saw some frightfully fun looks and a whole lot of Halloween spirit! 🕸️🕷️

Last night, we celebrated our newest inductees into the LaFayette Junior National Honor Society! 🛡️✨

These outstanding students have demonstrated a commitment to scholarship, leadership, service, character and citizenship. We’re proud to recognize their hard work, dedication and the positive impact they make in our school community.

Now he’s on the lookout for students being SAFE, RESPONSIBLE, and RESPECTFUL! 🌟

Where will he pop up next? You never know when Little Lancer might surprise a class with a special visit to celebrate students who are making great choices! 🎁

🛑🚌 The LaFayette Central School District hosted a press conference today as part of Operation Safe Stop, an annual statewide law enforcement initiative aimed at preventing drivers from illegally passing stopped school buses.

Every weekday in New York State, approximately 2.3 million children ride school buses. Yet an estimated 50,000 motor vehicles illegally pass stopped school buses each day.

A few seconds of patience can save a life. When you see a stopped school bus with red lights flashing, stop and stay stopped. Our children's safety is worth the wait. 🛑🚌
