🦟 Aerial mosquito spraying is scheduled for Monday, October 26, 2026, beginning after 7:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Spraying will take place in portions of Garyville and LaPlace, primarily covering the following areas:

📍River Forest
📍Cambridge
📍River Oaks
📍Belle Terre

Vector Disease Control International (VDCI) will conduct the spraying using twin-engine aircraft flying at approximately 300 feet. The aircraft will apply an EPA-approved mosquito control product designed for use in residential and surrounding areas.

Residents may notice low-flying aircraft during the operation. The aerial spraying is part of ongoing mosquito control efforts throughout St. John Parish.

The St. John the Baptist Parish Clerk of Court will host Election Commissioner Classes on October 22 and October 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the LaPlace Government Building, 1811 W. Airline Hwy.

Participants will learn important Election Day procedures for upcoming elections.
