🎓🎉 Celebrating our 3rd Éxito Académico Graduating Class!
Last night, we celebrated an incredible group of parents who completed our WPUSD Éxito Académico program! Throughout the program, these parents participated in a variety of workshops designed to support their learning, strengthen their involvement, and help them become even stronger advocates for their children’s education.
Their commitment to learning, growing, and supporting their students is something worth celebrating! We are so proud of each of them and grateful for the time and dedication they invested in this journey.
Congratulations to our graduates! Special thank you to our amazing parent liaisons!!!

Our boys basketball team kicked off the season with their first home game against Antelope Crossing! Since Antelope Crossing did not have an 8th-grade team, tonight featured just one matchup — but our 7th-grade Panthers came ready to play! 💪🏀
The boys brought the energy and came away with a big WIN, 52–25! 🎉🙌
Way to start the season, Panthers! We’re proud of you and can’t wait to see what’s ahead!

Twins & Groups — Say NO to Drugs! 🐾
Day 2 of Red Ribbon Week brought lots of fun to GEMS as our Panthers teamed up with friends (and sometimes even bigger groups!) to twin for the day! From matching outfits to coordinated looks, students and staff showed off their creativity while sharing an important message: Say NO to drugs!

Come on out and join us for an evening of fall fun! Our student clubs and Student Leadership have been hard at work planning and organizing booths to make this a fun event for everyone! 🧡🍁
💀🌼 Be sure to stop by and see the ALAS ofrenda, a special display celebrating and honoring loved ones as part of Día de los Mu***os.
Bring your family and enjoy the festivities! There’s still time to join us — the Harvest Fair runs until 6:30 PM! 🎉
We’re so proud of our Panthers for taking the lead and bringing our school community together!

Today, administrators and district personnel traded their usual roles for aprons and serving trays to help serve meals across the district!
Mrs. Fernandez is a regular server during 7th and 8th grade lunch at GEMS, but today brought a little extra fun! She kicked off breakfast dressed as a strawberry-pineapple 🍓🍍 and returned for both lunches as a Hamburger Helper! 🍔🙌
It was such a fun day, and the best part was seeing the students’ surprised reactions to all the costumes! Who knew serving school meals could be this entertaining?
A big thank-you to our food services team for all they do every day and for letting us join in on the fun! ♥️ 🖤

Our GEMS TV student broadcasting elective took their learning beyond the classroom yesterday with a field trip to FOX40 News in Sacramento! 🎤📹
Our student broadcasters had the opportunity to learn more about the world of news and broadcasting, gain new insights, and bring back ideas and knowledge to share and incorporate into their own show.
We love giving our Panthers opportunities to explore their interests, learn from professionals, and grow their skills through real-world experiences! Way to go, GEMS TV!♥️ 🖤
