PLEASE NOTE: A combination of dry and breezy conditions today will result in an elevated risk of wildfire spread across most of central Pennsylvania. The ongoing dry spell combined with minimum relative humidity values and wind gusts from the northwest will all contribute to the elevated risk of wildfire spread.
Please use caution if handling any potential ignition sources, such as machinery, ci******es, matches or any open flame.
If dry grasses and tree litter begin to burn, the fire will have the potential to spread rapidly.

Lancaster County Tire Recycling Event

Lancaster County residents are invited to bring unwanted tires to the tire recycling event on October 28 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the 416 S. Broad St. lot in Lancaster City. Tires will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $1 per standard automobile tire and $5 per oversized tire. All tires must be removed from their rims.
