This is the information and news section for the City of Locust Grove, Georgia. Founded December 20, 1893, the city has grown from a 1/2-mile circle mile to nearly 15 square miles today with a population of 11,199 as of July 2024. We provide Police Services, Municipal Court, Public Works (street maintenance, fleet services, stormwater, sanitation, water and sewer), and Community Development (planning, zoning, Main Street, economic development). We have a dedicated workforce of over 95 people and an operating budget over $13 million annually and a tax base over $1 billion.

Henry County voters will have two additional locations to cast their ballots during early voting! JP Moseley Recreation Center and Fairview Recreation Center will open as new early voting locations beginning Monday, October 26.
