As daylight savings time ends, remember to put fresh batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors when you set your clocks back one hour. This is also a great time to check your winter emergency kits for your home and vehicle. Check batteries in flash lights, update outdated snacks and make sure you and your vehicle are ready for the colder days ahead.

When it comes to emergency kit, start with the supplies you have.

✔️ Gradually work towards being prepared for 3 days of supplies.
✔️ Don't go into debt or feel pressured to buy supplies you cannot afford.
✔️ Use and replace what you store so supplies don't go to waste.
✔️ Prepare according to your needs and circumstances.
