🛑 STOP Means STOP!

It's National School Bus Safety Week, and we're reminding our Campbell County community that stopping for school buses is one of the most important ways motorists can help protect students.

🚦 Flashing yellow lights: Slow down and prepare to stop.

🛑 Flashing red lights and extended stop arm: STOP! Remain stopped until the bus resumes motion and it is safe to proceed.

🚗 Know Virginia's law: Motorists traveling in either direction must stop for a school bus loading or unloading students. The exception applies to drivers traveling in the opposite direction on a roadway separated by a physical barrier or unpaved median.

👀 Stay alert: Watch for children approaching or leaving bus stops. Never assume a child will see your vehicle.

A few seconds of patience can help save a life. Our students are counting on YOU to stop!

💙 Safe Students. Safe Rides. Stronger Communities.
