💧 Today is Imagine a Day Without Water! Take a moment to think about how different your day would be without water; from brushing your teeth and grabbing a coffee to cooking meals and watering your garden.

Water is essential to our everyday lives! It's why we, at LWR, work each day to protect our water sources and local waterways and why we invest in the critical infrastructure needed to reliably deliver quality, safe drinking water to your tap.

A new addition to Lynchburg Water Resources' fleet is ready to get to work!

LWR welcomed its new Vactor 2100i truck this week, giving its collections team upgraded equipment to help keep the City’s underground infrastructure running smoothly.

This truck will clean blocked sewer and storm lines, clear storm drains of debris, and provide additional support for the growing need of hydro-excavation in waterline and sewer line break repairs.

Crew Leader Anthony Diego and Matthew Smith took the new truck out for its first assignment today — the first of many as they put this investment to work for Lynchburg.

The City's leaf collection starts November 2!

🍂 Remember to keep your leaves away from storm drains and clear of stormwater's path to the drains. And, it's OK to leave some leaves in your gardens ... they can provide habitat for beneficial insects and protect plant roots for the winter ahead.
