By now, you’ve probably heard of the terrorist plot near Royal Air Force (RAF) Base Fairford in the United Kingdom. I was stationed there from 1987 to 1989. I’ve attached a clipping from the local British newspaper showcasing the base and my arrival. When the photographer realized I had shipped over a German made car, he made me cover the BMW emblem on the trunk with a cloth. Gotta love the Brits!

I was there! In 1985 I was assigned to Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX as a second lieutenant. I remember the base transitioning from the B-52 to the B-1B Lancer. When I saw this post on my LinkedIn account this morning it brought back some great memories.
