Junior Master Gardeners Club Update!

Our Junior Master Gardeners had a great meeting on October 28th! Members checked on the progress of the garden they have been working hard to grow and enjoyed seeing how much it has developed. They also planted strawberry plants that will hopefully produce a delicious harvest in the months ahead!

We're proud of the dedication and teamwork these young gardeners continue to show as they learn valuable skills and gain hands-on experience in the garden.

Outdoor Skills Club Adventure!

At our Outdoor Skills Club meeting on October 27, members put their creativity and teamwork to the test by designing the best camping spot possible based on the elements they were given!

From choosing the perfect campsite setup to thinking through shelter, safety, and outdoor essentials, our members did a great job applying their outdoor knowledge while working together to solve challenges.

We are so proud of these young outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen for their creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. Check out some photos from the meeting below!

A Sneak Peek at the Future!

We had the opportunity to tour the new Avoyelles Parish Barn this morning and see the incredible progress being made. It was exciting to walk through the facility and imagine all the memories, friendships, competitions, and accomplishments that will take place within these walls for years to come.

This project represents a bright future for our youth, livestock exhibitors, and community. We are beyond excited to watch it come together and can't wait to make lasting memories in this amazing new space!

What an amazing night at our Annual Trunk or Treat!

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this event such a huge success. We had a fantastic turnout and are incredibly grateful for the support shown to our program.

A special thank you to our local businesses, schools, fire department, sheriff's department, candidates, and all of the volunteers who decorated and hosted trunks. Your generosity, creativity, and community spirit made the evening unforgettable for our youth and families.

We truly could not do this without your support. Thank you for helping us create so many smiles and wonderful memories. We can't wait to do it all again next year!

The Southeast Region is excited to announce the inaugural 4-H University Preview Day and invites 4-H'ers from across the state to join us for this unique recruitment experience!

This one-day event is designed to introduce youth, families, volunteers, and 4-H professionals to everything 4-H University has to offer. Participants will explore contest and Clover College opportunities, experience residence hall life, visit facilities used during 4-H University, and learn about the leadership, service, and educational opportunities available beyond one of Louisiana 4-H's premier events.

Our Junior Master Gardeners had a great time at our meeting on October 14! Members got their hands dirty, learned new gardening skills, and continued growing their knowledge of plants, nature, and stewardship. We’re proud of these young gardeners and all their hard work!
