We are so proud of our students who were selected for our very first Principal’s Table of the school year! These students have demonstrated outstanding leadership, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to doing their best each day. Stop by Pelicans and help our school tonight! 💙💛 We appreciate our community partners!

Come join us tonight for our last Spirit/Fundraising Night of the 2026 season. Tonight we have the honor to host Pleasant Gardens Elementary School. We will be donating 20 percent of our sales between 3-7pm to Pleasant Gardens so they can provide more things to our local students through the remainder of the year. We have dropped seven new flavors into the ice cream dipping cabinet that are all amazing. We have all of our Fall speciality and several Halloween specialties ready to order and as always over 100 flavors of snoballs and shakes for you to enjoy. Come treat yourself tonight at Pelican’s and show PG some local love.

There is nothing better than starting the day with affirmations in Pre-K! 💙💛 Watching our littlest learners build confidence, recognize their worth, and learn to believe in themselves through positive words is such a beautiful thing. A simple affirmation can brighten a little face, encourage a brave heart, and remind each child just how special they are. We are growing more than little learners—we are growing confident, kind, and capable individuals, one positive affirmation at a time! 🥰✨

💙💛 WOW! We are absolutely blown away by the incredible support for our Fall Festival! 🍂🎃 Our hearts are so full, and we are beyond grateful for the amazing families, vendors, volunteers, and staff members who helped make this event so special. We hope all of our Pleasant Gardens families enjoyed the afternoon making memories, having fun, and celebrating together!

It truly takes a village, and we are so thankful to be part of such a wonderful one. Thank you for showing up, showing out, and making Pleasant Gardens such a special place to be! 💙💛

Celebrating Our October MCS Certified Staff Member of the Month!

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Laura Merriman-Kealy, our McDowell County Schools Certified Staff Member of the Month for October! 👏💙

Mrs. Kealy goes above and beyond to create a classroom where students feel valued, respected, supported, and encouraged to grow. Through meaningful collaboration and student discussions, she helps students build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop important skills that extend beyond academics. 📚✨

Her impact doesn't stop with her students! This year, Mrs. Kealy has stepped up as an instructional leader, supporting a long-term substitute teacher and modeling effective instructional practices. During a recent classroom visit, the entire second grade was learning together as she demonstrated a lesson—an inspiring example of teamwork and educators supporting one another! 🤝
