A sincere thank you to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm for taking a moment to recognize and honor our nation's veterans. 🇺🇸

It's moments like these that remind us how much it means when our community takes the time to recognize the men and women who have worn the uniform or are currently serving our country.

Bishops's will also be collecting donations on behalf of the Stand Down!

Thank you for honoring those who serve!

Robert "Bob" Logan, 87, of Yuba City, CA, peacefully passed away on September 18, 2026, in his home, surrounded by his family.

Bob was born in Klamath Falls, OR, on April 29, 1939. Bob met Mai Le in Vietnam as a United States Air Force service member in 1967, and the two married on October 28, 1969, shortly after Mai Le immigrated to the United States.

During his service, Bob served as an Avionics Communications Specialist, Radio Repairman, and B-52 Defensive Aerial Gunner, retiring from the USAF in 1971.

Bob spent 3.5 years in Vietnam, which shaped his character and his will to give back to Vietnam Veterans.

After retiring from the USAF, Bob became a prominent member of the Yuba-Sutter veteran community.

As a member of the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, and the Yuba-Sutter Stand Down, Bob gave back to veterans of all services and engagements through his time and commitment, selflessly serving in various roles.

Bob's most cherished role was supporting, and contributing to the planting of Trinity Anglican Church in Marysville, CA, which recently reached its 20-year anniversary, a threshold that gave him a sense of peace and accomplishment in relationship with other believers.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Mai Le; and daughter, Marjorie Gregory.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Shana (Marjorie); brother, Albert "Al" Logan; son, Chris Logan; daughter-in-law, Katrina Logan; and grandchildren, Brittany and Blake.

A funeral service will take place on October 16, 2026, at 10 AM, at Trinity Anglican Church, 929 11th St, Marysville, CA.

Immediately following the church service, a reception will be held in Trinity Anglican's Annex, with graveside honors and Rite of Committal at Sierra View Memorial Park, 4900 Olive Ave, Olivehurst, CA, scheduled for 2 PM.

Bob's family wishes to extend its sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of Rideout Memorial Hospital and Marysville Post Acute, Freedom Hospice, and the Trinity Anglican Church family.

To my fellow OEF/OIF Veterans...

There are some days you never forget. September 11, 2001, is one of them.

I remember the feeling. I remember watching the attacks unfold and knowing, almost immediately, that our lives and the lives of an entire generation of Americans had just changed.

As a Gulf War veteran, I had already spent years wearing the uniform. But that day was different.
That was the day a lot of us realized that the world we knew was gone.

And then came the deployments, the bags packed, the goodbyes, the phone calls and the long nights. The birthdays and holidays missed. The worry that never really left your mind when someone you loved was downrange.

For some, it was their first war, for others like myself, it became a way of life. Almost my entire 24 year active duty career we were a nation in conflict.

We watched young Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines leave home and grow up in places they never imagined they would be. We watched friends go to war. And some of us said goodbye to friends who never came home.

Those are the things you don't always talk about.
Thirty-eight years with the Air Force has given me the privilege of serving with some of the finest people I've ever known. But there are faces and names from those years that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and I know I'm not alone.

There are OEF/OIF Veterans reading this tonight who still carry memories they don't talk about. Some carry physical scars, some carry invisible ones. Some lost friends and sadly some lost pieces of themselves. I experienced this firsthand with so many dear friends lost to su***de or substance abuse.

Today some are still trying to figure out how to explain to their families what those years did to them. I understand, maybe not every detail maybe not your exact story, but I understand the bond.
Because we were there, we raised our right hands and we swore an oath.

When America was attacked, we didn't ask what it would cost us, we simply served.

Twenty-five years have passed since that terrible morning. Our hair is a little grayer, our knees hurt a little more. Some of us have retired, some continued on in civilian service and some have gone on to completely different lives. But somewhere inside each of us is still that young man or woman who put on the uniform and believed in something bigger than themselves, don't ever forget that person. And don't ever forget the ones who didn't get the chance to grow old with us.

Today, my heart is with the families who lost loved ones on 9/11. It's with every Gold Star family.
It's with every Veteran who served in the wars that followed. It is with everyone of my warrior brothers and sisters who are no longer here to read this.

I don't care what uniform you wore, I don't care what branch you served in and I don't care what your job was. If you answered the call after 9/11, you are part of my generation of Veterans and I am just so damn proud to stand beside you.

We were there.....we served...we sacrificed...
we remember.

I will alwayd remember those who didn't come home.
🇺🇸 September 11, 2001...Never Forget.
🇺🇸 OEF/OIF... Never Forget.
🇺🇸 Our fallen...Never Forget.
