For too long, communities like ours in the North State have been overlooked by federal policies that fail to account for the challenges facing rural families.

That's why I joined Congressman Mike Thompson to introduce the bipartisan Revitalizing Rural America Act, legislation aimed at strengthening rural healthcare and making federal resources more accessible to small communities.

Billions of dollars in questionable Medi-Cal billing, and California taxpayers deserve answers.

An audit has raised serious concerns about how taxpayer dollars are being spent, and I'm demanding accountability.

Every dollar lost to waste or improper payments is a dollar that could be helping Californians who depend on these services.

Governor Newsom's administration needs to answer for these findings.

Human traffickers are increasingly exploiting artificial intelligence and online platforms to target and exploit vulnerable individuals, especially children.

I introduced the Countering Online Trafficking Act to ensure the U.S. Department of State has the technical expertise needed to identify and combat AI-facilitated trafficking.

If gaps exist, this legislation requires a plan to address them. We must hold traffickers accountable and protect our children from exploitation.

Californians are tired of sky-high electricity bills. It’s time to give hardworking families some relief.

My Affordable Power for Host Communities Act would provide a 20% discount on utility bills for communities in California counties that host major electric generation facilities. North State communities help power California and deserve to see a direct benefit. That’s why I’m championing common-sense solutions like this that will lower energy costs and deliver real savings. Period.

No family should have to endure the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet because of a pet boarding facility’s negligent care. Our pets are family and they deserve protection.

I’m proud to partner with Madeleine White and Andrew Fedyk to introduce Dunkin’s Law. This legislation strengthens federal protections for companion animals and holds negligent pet facilities accountable.

Thank you Maddie and Andrew for turning their heartbreaking loss into a fight for change.

Dunkin’s story has reached pet owners across the world and we are seeing support from Australia to America. Globally, we will continue to work to make sure our pets are protected and those entrusted with their care are held accountable.

Less than 48 hours after being dropped off, Dunkin was dead.

I recently joined KKXX Life Radio to discuss the issues that matter most in the North State. The House recently passed WRDA, which advances $160 million in water infrastructure investments for Northern California. This bipartisan legislation includes major priorities I fought to secure, including:

- Better water management at Shasta Dam
- Expediting flood-control improvements at Five-Mile Basin
- Advancing flood protection along the Palermo Tributary

Water is the lifeblood of Northern California.
