🚒🚑🚓 Happy National First Responders Day! 🇺🇸

Today, October 28, we recognize and honor the dedicated first responders who serve and protect our communities every day.

The Arcata Fire District extends its sincere appreciation to our firefighters, emergency medical personnel, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and all first responders who answer the call when our communities need them most.

Your courage, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to public safety do not go unnoticed. Whether responding to emergencies, providing lifesaving care, or supporting those in times of crisis, your service makes a meaningful difference.

To our fellow first responders throughout Humboldt County and beyond, thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering service.

🐾🚒 We loved having some four-legged visitors at our Open House!

A big thank you to the Humboldt County Animal Shelter for joining us and bringing Roo and Littlefoot along to meet our community. They were a wonderful addition to the day and certainly received plenty of attention from our visitors! ❤️

Roo is currently available for adoption, and Littlefoot is available for foster or adoption. If you fell in love with either of them at the Open House—or are just meeting them through this post—please contact the Humboldt County Animal Shelter at **707-840-9132** to learn more.

Thank you to the Shelter for the important work you do for animals throughout our community. We were happy to have you be part of the Arcata Fire District Open House! 🐶🐾🚒

🚒 2026 OPEN HOUSE RECAP! 🚒

What a great day with our community!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Arcata Fire Protection District's 2026 Open House.

We loved welcoming families into the station, showing you our apparatus, sharing fire and life-safety information, and giving our community an opportunity to spend time with the firefighters and personnel who serve you.

A special thank you to all of our community partners who joined us and helped make the day possible, and to our District staff and volunteers who put in the time and effort to make the event a success.

One of our favorite parts of events like this is getting to meet the people we serve outside of an emergency. Thank you for coming out, asking questions, bringing the kids, and spending part of your day with us.

We are already looking forward to next year's Open House!

🔥 Thank you for being part of our fire district community.
