Welcome to Summer! We'd love to post some at-home ideas for you and your Sea Lion.

This summer is all about trying new things, making happy memories, spending time together, and having fun away from screens.

Here is our first week's installment. Enjoy!

HAVE AN OUTDOOR PICNIC

"Bear Hunt" Teddy Bear Picnic: Have your preschooler bring along their favorite stuffed animal. Before eating, hide the stuffed animals around the picnic area (behind a tree, under a bench) and go on a "bear hunt" to find them.
Red Light, Green Light: A classic game that is perfect for burning off energy in a big grassy field before sitting down to eat.
Cloud Shaping: Lay flat on your backs on the picnic blanket, look up at the sky, and take turns pointing out what shapes, animals, or objects the clouds look like. This is great for vocabulary building and imagination.

Last week we were thrilled to celebrate our Bus Drivers here at Lawson. We are so grateful for their care and love for our wonderful students! We couldn't do it without them.

Before we start our Teacher/Staff appreciation week tomorrow, let's recognize a very special leader who makes it all happen. Happy National Principal's Day to our very own Susie Towber. She is the sunshine and light that makes this building home. We love you!
