FUN FACT FRIDAY: A little help getting around can make a big difference! 60+ Ride provides transportation services for Weld County residents ages 60 and older, helping them get to medical appointments, grocery stores, and other essential destinations.

Currently, 12 Mead residents are registered with 60+ Ride! One dedicated Mead volunteer has also completed more than 147 one-way trips for older adults throughout Mead and the Carbon Valley area.

This valuable service helps older adults stay independent and connected to their communities. We're grateful for the volunteers who make it possible!

The Mead Police Department has closed WCR 5 between WCR 34½ and WCR 34 due to an ongoing accident investigation.

UPDATE (2:53 p.m.): The roadway is now open.

COMMUNITY NOTIFICATION

WCR 5 is currently closed between WCR 34½ and WCR 34 while the Mead Police Department investigates an accident.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes. The roadway will remain closed while the investigation is underway.

We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Congratulations to Town of Mead Municipal Court Judge David J. Thrower! ⚖️

The Colorado Municipal Judges Association recently honored Judge Thrower with the 2026 Distinguished Jurist Award for Small or Part-time Courts!

Judge Thrower has served as Mead’s appointed Municipal Court Judge since 2018 and also serves several other Colorado communities.

Please join us in congratulating Judge Thrower on this well-deserved recognition and thanking him for his continued service to Mead!

Drop in for all-levels yoga at the Mead Community Center! Whether you're looking to build strength, improve flexibility, get moving, or simply slow down for an hour, each class offers a welcoming space to move at your own pace.

Thursdays | 10–11 a.m.
Sundays | 3–4 p.m.

No registration required. Regular drop-in fees apply. Please bring your own mat and blocks. A limited number are available at the Community Center.

CR 7 between Highway 66 and CR 32 (Adams Avenue) is now open to traffic in both directions.

The developer of the Mead Place project has reopened the northbound roadway after constructing the new roundabout and completing paving improvements.

FUN FACT FRIDAY: Trick-or-Treat Street is celebrating its seventh year in Mead!

What started in 2020 has become a favorite community tradition! Hosted by the Mead Area Chamber of Commerce, Trick-or-Treat Street brings local businesses, Town departments, families, and neighbors together for an afternoon of Halloween fun.

Each year, Main Street fills with costumes, candy, and community connections. It's a safe, fun way for families to celebrate Halloween, meet neighbors, and show off creative costumes!

This year's event is sponsored by Mead's Domino's Pizza!

Join us on Saturday, October 31, from 1–3 p.m. on Main Street in Mead for this year's Trick-or-Treat Street!
