This week we received a surprise. Much like what happened in 2023, the ceiling tiles near the front doors of the church fell. If you are able to help us with the necessary repairs, you can donate towards them here: https://abundant.co/stmaryschurch/give

This year Memorial Day falls on the obligatory Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church. So our Mass will be the Mass for Mary, Mother of the Church.

It is a Catholic tradition to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary during the month of May by placing on her statue a crown of flowers. This lovely devotional is a favorite tradition here at St. Mary. The May Crowning gives our parish an opportunity to especially honor our patroness, and to give thanks to her for bringing our Savior into the world. This year, Yareth Fuentes was chosen to crown Mary.

It is Graduation Week in Downtown, Memphis. Depending on the day and time, our parking lot may fill up quickly. So, if you are coming to daily or weekend Masses, please be on time and move a cone to park and put it back as you leave the parking lot. Thank you!

Congratulations and blessings to Yareth Fuentes who received the Sacrament of Confirmation Thursday, April 16th, through Bishop David Talley. Please pray that she is strengthened by the Holy Spirit to be a true witness of Christ to others. May she spread and defend the faith by word and deed!
