This is the page of the Midland County, Texas, Democratic Party. Midland, Texas, has a small but active Democratic Party.

Most residents of this county, boyhood home and later the residence of George W. Bush, are Republicans, but Democrats manage to have an impact. Midland is the center of the petroleum industry in the Permian Basin, a large part of West Texas known for its oil and gas deposits.

Tomorrow is Election Day. I’m nervous, excited, and worried all at the same time. And I keep thinking, did I do enough? Could I have done more here in Midland County? What could I have done better?

I know we live in a red area, but I still have hope. Even if we don’t turn our area blue, I know we’ve made progress. I want people to know there are Democrats here.
We care about our community, and we’re trying to make Texas better for everyone, regardless of party.

I’m thankful for everyone who has shown up and helped along the way. I hope all this work helps more people feel comfortable showing up, speaking up, and knowing they aren’t alone. That means something to me. 💙

Texas is due for a change. We need candidates who will put their constituents first, listen to us, and work for the people of Texas instead of their biggest donors.

If you haven’t voted yet, I hope you do tomorrow. We need a change. We need a better Texas. And that’s why I encourage you to vote Democrats up and down the ballot! 💙

Polls open 7am-7pm!
Your vote is your voice!

Hey everyone, it’s Eli, and TOMORROW IS ELECTION DAY! And I haven't seen ANY precinct chairs for Midland at a blockwalk, as well as any of our meeting regulars. Knocking on doors is the best way to get people out to vote, and we need YOU to turn Texas blue!

I don't have ANYONE signed up to blockwalk tomorrow, and this is your last chance to do everything you can to get democrats elected! We have shifts at 7 am and 5 pm if you have work, and if you sign up for the 5 pm block walk, you can come back at 7 when polls close for our watch party knowing you did everything you could!

Looking forward to seeing y'all tomorrow! And looking forward to a blue Texas if enough of y'all block walk!

Join Texas Together as we knock doors to get out the vote for James Talarico, Gina Hinojosa, Vikki Goodwin, and Democratic candidates down the ballot! Together, we will defeat Ken Paxton and Greg Abbott, and build a better future for Texas. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a water bottle and a fully ch...

💙 2 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY! WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🗳️

Hey y'all! We're almost at the finish line, but we still need some help!

Unfortunately, I haven't been feeling well and have spent most of the weekend in bed, so I haven't been able to do as much as I'd like.

Eli Hilbert needs volunteers to help with block walking and reminding people who haven't voted yet to get out and vote Tuesday! Only one person has signed up this weekend. Even an hour of your time would help!

Sign up to block walk, there are still times today, Monday and early Tuesday:

💙 Please come help us finish strong!
