Millington Kiwanis Annual Breakfast Fundraiser March 28 2026. $1070 was raised to support our community.

Kiwanis Mid Year Education Conference will be held March 21 in Natchitoches, LA.

Kiwanis District is having an educational summit Feb 21 at the Marion Hall on White Station.

Chis Thomas, Executive Director, Millington Area Chamber of Commerce was the guest speaker.

The chamber promotes local businesses and helps them coordinate.

Target Store will be built in Millington.

The Millington Race track will open again with expanded facilities. New hotels and restaurants are planned.

Pancake Breakfast is planned for March 28 to coincide with the Craft Show. Key Club members from the high schools will be helping and we will pay their dues.

Two additional children were adopted at Hope House at a cost of $300.

Chicken Salad Chick wants to join as a company sponsor. Oscar has been in contact.

Susan Olsen, Kiwanis LT Governor joined us and announced that a Kiwanis joint leadership event will be held Feb 21 at Marion Hale Community Center. One of the goals is to coordinate efforts of the area Kiwanis Clubs. All are invited to attend.

Bluff City Kiwanis Club is having an induction dinner at Amergos Italian Restirant Jan 16. All are invited.

New member Marjorie George received her Kiwanis Pin.

Third Thursday meeting at Olympic in Millington. Amanda Westmoreland, Pastor of First Methodist Church, was our speaker.

First Methodist runs the Millington Food Pantry. Anyone already on assistance already qualifies.
The USDA has income limits on whom may receive government food. Others may apply for donated food from other sources.

The church is also has a backpack program that sends food to kids during the year.

Grief ministry is also available. Regular meetings take place at the church.

Next meeting will be Feb 8, Second Thursday, because of New Year’s Day.

Samantha Thornton of Hope House was the guest speaker. Hope House helps families affected by HIV and poverty through daycare, classes and testing.

Hope House receives support from Millington Kiwanis each year.
