🌱✂️ Celebrating the Cohort 8 Green Schools ribbon-cutting at Cass Elementary!

Led by environmental nonprofit Reflo in partnership with Milwaukee Public Schools and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, the program transforms barren asphalt playgrounds into sustainable green spaces for students and the community.

Included in this cohort is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School whose playground is getting its final touches. HNID is proud to have invested, with the support of Harambee residents, in the new green playspace at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary.

We’re excited to celebrate the playspace at Cass Elementary and look forward celbrating with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary soon. Stay tuned for our ribbon-cutting! 💚

Another great evening of neighbors helping neighbors! 🏡💙

We had a full house at tonight's Harambee Neighborhood Improvement District #7 Board Meeting, with residents, partners, and board members coming together to continue investing in our neighborhood.

The Board approved several home improvement projects, bringing more resources directly back into the community to help neighbors preserve and improve their homes.

We're still accepting applications for our Home Repair Grant Program! If you're a homeowner within the Harambee NID boundaries, you may be eligible for up to $10,000 in home repair assistance.

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared ideas, and continues to help build a stronger Harambee. Together, we're creating lasting investment, one home, one block, and one neighbor at a time.
