We support organizations and programs that create opportunities for helping people live the best, rest of their lives. We need people that care.

At five years old, we crave security, familiarity and nurturance. We’re at our best when we feel the safest; well loved and cared for. We explore and we learn, but within the boundaries we know are there for us and we like that. We need parents, grandparents, teachers, caregivers and communities that love us and do everything in their power to help us succeed.

Sandy is known for always being “the person who gives and takes care of everyone,” but has never actually had a vacation herself.

To celebrate her selflessness and give her the dream vacation she deserves, Sandy was nominated for an Elevated Wish through Wish of a Lifetime from AARP to visit Universal Studios Hollywood.

An avid moviegoer, Sandy had a “thrilling” weekend getting to tour Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, as well as other movie-themed zones in the park. 🎬

This trip was made even more special by her son and Activity Director, Lorena, coming along for the fun! 🌟

That’s a wrap on this year’s Backpack to School! 🎒

This year, 652 backpacks were packed full with supplies for children of the senior healthcare workers at our partner facilities. Through this program, we’re able to show our appreciation towards senior healthcare workers by helping to ease the financial strain that back to school season can cause.

Seeing the community come together and thrive each year is always heartwarming. Thanks to everyone that came out and helped pack! 🎉

Did you know that Journey of Heroes has honored more than 130 veterans with a trip to Washington D.C? And we’re not done yet!

Alongside Wish of a Lifetime from AARP, we send senior veterans on a four-day trip to visit the war memorials created in their honor. 🏛️✈

They share stories. They make new friends. And for some, it may be the first time they hear: “Thank you for your service!”
