I was honored to host a FREE Car Seat Safety Check at the Lynbrook Public Library in partnership with the Nassau County Police Department Community Affairs Unit.

Thank you to the officers who took the time to assist families, check car seat installations, and share important safety information.

These efforts help give parents and caregivers greater confidence that their little ones are protected on every ride.

I was proud to celebrate a special milestone for the Lynbrook Public Library with the unveiling of its National Historical Marker! As the library looks ahead to its 100th anniversary in 2029, this recognition is a wonderful reminder of the generations of residents who have learned, connected, and created memories within its walls.

Libraries are more than buildings filled with books; they are the heart of a community, preserving our history while opening doors to new ideas and opportunities.

Congratulations to the Lynbrook Public Library on this well-deserved honor!

I was proud to host a Mobile Mammography Event in partnership with the Breast Imaging Center at Nassau University Medical Center, helping connect residents with important breast cancer screenings and health resources.

A heartfelt thank-you to Frances R. Allen, Founder of the Glow in Pink BCA Foundation, and Sandra Martinez, Bilingual Outreach Coordinator with Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program, for joining us, tabling at the event, and sharing valuable information and resources with our community.

I’m grateful to all our partners who continue to make women’s health a priority and help spread the message that early detection matters. Together, we can raise awareness, encourage preventive care, and ensure our residents feel supported every step of the way.

I had a great time participating in the Lynbrook HS PTA s’ Fly with the Owls Scholarship 5K & Fun Run! It was inspiring to see our community come together, show off that Owl pride, and support a cause that makes a real difference for Lynbrook students.

The energy, school spirit, and community support were a perfect reminder that when we come together, we can help our students soar to new heights!

A big thank-you to the Lynbrook Council of PTAs, the volunteers, and everyone who made this morning such a success. Here’s to investing in our students and keeping Owl pride flying high!

I was happy to attend this informative event alongside Assemblymember Michaelle Solages , Assemblywoman Judy Griffin, and Legislator Carrié Solages, where representatives from National Grid and PSEG shared practical tips and resources to help residents reduce energy usage and lower their utility bills.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this information to our community. By working together across state and county governments, we can help our constituents find ways to save money and make their homes more energy efficient.

The Annual Dr. Elsy Mecklembourg Memorial Breast Cancer Walk/Run/Stroll at Hendrickson Park was a beautiful day filled with community, compassion, and hope!

Thank you to Assemblymember Michaelle Solages for organizing such an important event and bringing our community together in support of breast cancer awareness. It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout, with residents, families, health advocates, and informational vendors sharing resources and standing together for this important cause.

Raising awareness, encouraging early detection, and supporting those impacted by breast cancer takes all of us. Together, we can make a difference!

It was a pleasure attending the Lynbrook networking dinner at Gourmology! Thank you to the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce and Natalie Smith for bringing residents, local business owners, and community members together for an evening of conversation and connection.

Building relationships within our community is essential to helping our neighborhoods thrive. Events like this give us the opportunity to meet local business owners, learn about the services they provide, and show our support for the small businesses that contribute so much to our local economy. It was also a wonderful way to celebrate the close of Hispanic Heritage Month and recognize the diversity that makes our community so special!
