Absentee ballots must be received by close of polls on Primary Election Day, June 9. You can place it in a secure county dropbox or hand deliver it to your county auditor. If you mailed your ballot, check if the county auditor received it by going to vote.nd.gov/absenteetracker. If it has not been received by your county auditor, you can vote at a polling location and your absentee ballot will not be counted.

Reminder that the intersection at 16th Street NW and 11th Avenue NW is closed for about a week for the water main replacement project. Minot City Transit Northwest Route will skip the 16th Street hill and instead travel the 8th Street hill twice.

⚠️ STORM SHELTER NOW OPEN ⚠️
Due to the forecasted severe weather and high wind threat, the City of Minot storm shelter is now open and will remain open through 11:00 p.m., or longer if conditions warrant.
The storm shelter is located in the Minot Municipal Court area of the Minot Auditorium (420 3rd Ave SW). Door 4 on the west wall is open.
Due to several road construction projects in the area, access to the shelter is available via 6th St SW to 3rd Ave SW. Please follow posted signage to Municipal Court.
If you need a safe place during the storm, please do not hesitate to use the shelter. If pets need to travel with you, a leash is required, a kennel is appreciated.

Two changes of note this week: Both are north hill adjustments with short timelines that shouldn't overlap:
🚧 Intersection closure at 16th Street NW and 11th Avenue NW. This closure is anticipated to last from Thursday, June 11-16. Adjust your route away from the 16th Street North Hill.
🚧 3rd Street NE hill should be a one day closure for northbound traffic only. So you just can't go up the hill on Monday.

Three-day detour planned for 16th street northwest
intersection.
Beginning Tuesday, June 9, the intersection of 16th Street NW and 11th Avenue NW will be closed for approximately three days as part of the ongoing water main replacement project.
The closure is expected to begin after the morning commute, around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. During the closure, there will be no through traffic on 16th Street NW between 20th Avenue NW and University Ave.
The designated detour route will direct motorists along 20th Avenue NW, 8th Street NW and University Avenue West.
Work is anticipated to be completed within three days, with the intersection expected to reopen Friday morning.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution in the area, follow posted detour signage and allow additional travel time while the closure is in place
