June is PTSD Awareness Month.

The Missouri City Police Department recognizes the impact that Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can have on first responders, military personnel, victims of crime, and members of our community.

Police officers and emergency responders are often exposed to traumatic events while serving and protecting others. PTSD is a real and serious condition that can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed trauma. Raising awareness helps reduce stigma and encourages those who may be struggling to seek support.

If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of PTSD, remember that help is available. Seeking assistance is a sign of strength, not weakness.

This month, we stand with all those affected by PTSD and encourage open conversations about mental health, healing, and resilience.

We also want to give a special thank you to the Target staff for hosting us and supporting our community outreach efforts. We appreciate everyone who stopped by and look forward to the next event!
