09/11/2026
For those of you that couldn’t make our 9/11 ceremony this morning, someone asked me if I’d share the speech I gave and also the attached moments that were captured. We will never forget.
Thank you all for gathering here today as we come together to remember the nearly 3,000 men, women, and children who tragically lost their lives on September 11, 2001, during the horrific terrorist attacks on our nation.
Among those lives lost were 441 first responders men and women who ran toward danger while others were running away. They answered the call to serve, protect, and save others, knowing the risks they faced.
As we gather today and remember the absolute horror and devastation of that day, let us also remember the incredible courage, sacrifice, and unity that followed.
Let us never forget those who were lost. Let us never forget the families who were forever changed. And let us never forget the first responders who gave everything they had in an effort to save others.
Most importantly, let us remember that freedom is never free.
Benjamin Franklin once said, “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.”
Those words still ring true today. The freedoms we enjoy come with a responsibility to remember, to remain vigilant, and to never take for granted the sacrifices made to protect our way of life.
Today, we honor their memory. We honor their sacrifice. And we will never forget.
God bless those we lost, God bless their families, and God bless the United States of America.
