Raising Up Stevens County Kinship is an affiliate of Kinship, Inc. with the mission to provide mentoring opportunities for children and youth of Stevens County.

with the mission to provide mentoring opportunities for children, youth and families in the Stevens County area. This organization began as a grassroots effort led by County Commissioner, and Stevens County resident, Jeanne Ennen. Jeanne has dedicated much time and effort to recruit a committed Board of Directors and an Executive Director. Together, we are working to fill the gaps that other organizations can't fill through mentoring relationships. Carrying out the mission of RUSC Kinship the organization will match adults, couples or families with youth in need of a mentoring relationship. Monday-Thursday 11am to 4pm
Friday by appointment only

Thinking about becoming a Lunch Buddy but not sure if it’s for you?

You might be thinking…
❓ “I’ve never mentored a child before.”
→ That’s okay! We’ll help you get started.

❓ “I’m not sure what I’d talk about.”
→ That’s okay! You’ll have plenty of opportunities to simply talk, read, and get to know your buddy.

❓ “I don’t have a lot of extra time.”
→ You only meet once a month during the school day November - May.

❓ “Can I really make a difference in just one lunch?”
→ Yes. Consistent, caring relationships can have a lasting impact.

We’re looking for 5 more Lunch Buddies for 2nd graders in our community.

What if making a difference in a child’s life only took **one lunch a month?** 🍎

That’s what being a Lunch Buddy looks like.

You sit with a 2nd grader during lunch, talk, laugh, read a book, and get to know each other.

No complicated curriculum.
No big time commitment.
Just consistent connection.

We still need **5 volunteers** for our Lunch Buddies program!

📅 Choose the **1st Wednesday or 3rd Tuesday** of the month.

Could you give one lunch a month to a child who would love having you there?

🍎 **UPDATE: WE NEED 5 MORE LUNCH BUDDIES!** 🍎

We have 13 second graders waiting for a Lunch Buddy!

Our Lunch Buddies program connects caring adult volunteers with 2nd graders for a simple, meaningful lunch together **once a month**—either the **3rd Tuesday or 3rd Friday** of the month in Morris.

That’s it. One lunch. One hour. One child who gets to know that someone in their community cares about them.

We’re looking for **13 more adults** to join us!

👉 No special experience is needed.
👉 You don’t have to be a teacher.
👉 Just bring (or buy) your lunch, show up, and spend some time getting to know a child.
