Nash County Public Schools Partners with Shoes-A-Million to Support Students Experiencing Homelessness

NASHVILLE, N.C. – Nash County Public Schools (NCPS) is proud to announce a new partnership with Shoes-A-Million to provide shoes for students experiencing homelessness who are served through the district’s McKinney-Vento program.

Having a properly fitting pair of shoes can make a meaningful difference in a student’s daily experience at school. Through this partnership, NCPS and Shoes-A-Million will work together to help meet this essential need, supporting students’ comfort, confidence, and ability to participate fully in school activities.

The McKinney-Vento program supports students experiencing homelessness by helping ensure they have access to education and the resources needed to remain connected and successful in school. Community partnerships play an important role in that work by helping connect students and families with additional resources and support.
