Today, our City Hill community showed up in orange to celebrate Unity Day and take a stand against bullying! 🧡 Our students and staff came together to spread a message of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, reminding everyone that we are stronger when we stand together! 🧡🤝

This evening, your Naugatuck Professional Firefighters - IAFF Local 1219 from the Naugatuck Fire Department, as well as Naugatuck Police Department and Naugatuck Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to search for a missing party suffering from a possible medical emergency while walking his dogs. Engine 4, Rescue 1 responded, while callback personnel responded with the pickup with additional equipment.

Prior to our arrival, a neighbor, Jaxson Sarbieski, went searching the trails for the patient. Jaxson located the patient, provided him a beverage, and guided him and his dogs out approximately 3/4 of a mile to the care of awaiting EMS. Jaxson then guided our members back to where the patient was located, so we could search for the patient’s phone, which was located. We want to acknowledge the great work by this young man. Great job Jaxson.

Students in Mrs. Lourenco’s science class got hands-on with chemistry by creating ball-and-stick models to demonstrate how the smallest chemical units of matter determine whether a substance is classified as an element, compound, or mixture! 🧬⚛️

One of our students’ FAVORITE spirit days was a huge success! City Hill loves to celebrate the many cultures, traditions, and backgrounds that bring us together as ONE! We are proud to celebrate the diversity that makes our school community so special and reminds us that our differences make us stronger. 🌎🗺️🤍

🚪💜 Our homerooms went ALL OUT for our annual Anti-Bullying Door Decorating Contest! 🎨✨

Our students teamed up, got creative, and showed up to spread an important message: City Hill is rising above bullying and making sure EVERYONE feels included, valued, and accepted! We’re so proud of the creativity, teamwork, and kindness our students put into their designs!
