🏀 PROGRAM REMINDER: BASKETBALL FUNDAMENTALS STARTS NEXT MONDAY!

The Neillsville Recreation Department’s Basketball Fundamentals Program kicks off Monday, November 9th!

Our program will be 10 weeks long and end on Monday, January 18th.
Program hours are 6:00–7:00 PM in Neillsville's Elementary Gym
Boys and Girls in Grades 1st–4th are welcome to join!

Coach Bella Opelt will lead our program!

A reminder that registration fees are $20 and are to be paid on the first day.

📝 Registration forms are available at City Hall, Neillsville Middle School Office and St. John’s School Office.

We hope your kids will join us as we get ready to teach them new skills, build confidence, and have fun on the court! We look forward to seeing everyone next Monday! 🏀

🏊 NEILLSVILLE POOL SCHEDULE – NOVEMBER!

Please take note of the following schedule changes for November:

⏰ Updated Adult Swim Hours
Adult Swim on Mondays and Fridays has been changed to 6:00–7:00 PM.

🦃 Thanksgiving Holiday Closures
There will be no Adult Swim or Open Swim on Thursday, November 26th, or Friday, November 27th, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Please plan accordingly, and we look forward to seeing you at the pool this November! 🏊

🏐 PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT: WOMEN’S WINTER VOLLEYBALL STARTS TONIGHT!

Tonight we kick off our Women’s Winter Volleyball League! Games begin at 6:15 PM and 7:15 PM at the Neillsville Middle School Gym.

📅 First Night: Tuesday, October 27
📆 Season: Runs through every Tuesday till the end of December, with a potential playoff after the New Year (9 weeks).
📍 Location: Neillsville Middle School Gym
⏰ Game Times: 6:15 PM and 7:15 PM

📋 A Few Reminders:

Player registration and team fees must be paid by November 10th.

Player registration forms will be available at the Middle School Gym for the first three weeks of play.

🏈 YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL: SECOND-HALF RESULTS! 🏈

After three weeks of second-half flag football on the Varsity Fields, the season came down to some highly competitive games!

After all the dust settled, the Wolverines and Bruins were crowned the 2026 Second-Half Champions! 🏆 Both teams finished with 5-1 records and secured the championships through head-to-head tiebreakers.

Congratulations to both teams and all our players on a great season!

Due to the school in-service day on Monday, November 2nd, the Neillsville Recreation Department’s Basketball Fundamentals Program will begin one week later, on Monday, November 9th.

🏈 Football Olympics Results! 🏈

Last Friday, October 16th, the Neillsville Recreation Department hosted our Annual Football Olympics for kids ages 6–13! We had 42 boys and girls participate in a fun day of punting, passing, kicking, speed, and agility competitions.

Congratulations to all our participants! Everyone received a plaque or medal for taking part. Congratulations to Myles Waltemate, who earned the highest overall score of the day with 39 out of 50 possible points!

🏐 Program Reminder: Adult Co-Ed Volleyball Starts in November!

The Neillsville Recreation Department’s Adult Co-Ed Volleyball League starts Sunday, November 8th, and we’re looking for one more team!

We currently have 3 teams registered and need a 4th team to join us this season!

📅 Start Date: Sunday, November 8th
📍 Location: Neillsville Middle School Gyms
🏐 Game Nights: Sundays
⏳ Season Length: 8 weeks

💲 Registration Fees:

$20 per player for the starting 6 players ($120)

$50 team fee

With three teams currently tied at 3-1, the Wolverines, Badgers, and Buckeyes are all in the running for the Second Half Championship! Previous head-to-head results will help determine the final outcome.

🏆 Pac-10 Championship Race
Two teams remain in the heat of the race. The Ducks with their 4-0 record and the Bruins with a 3-1 Record. The two square off for game number 1 of the night. The winner of that game will be in the driver seat to become champs! If the Ducks win they will be the Champs. If the Bruins win, they will also need to win their second game of the night to become the Champs!

👕 Jersey Return Reminder
This Friday is the final night of Youth Flag Football games!
Please remember to return all jerseys after your child’s final game. If your child will be unable to attend Friday night, jerseys can be returned to City Hall at your convenience.

🏈 Football Olympics – This Friday!

A reminder that we are hosting our Football Olympics event this Friday from 1:00–3:00 PM at the Practice Football Field!

🏟️ Location: Practice Football Field
👦 Ages: 6–13
💲 Cost: FREE!

🏆 Event Details

Participants will be grouped by age and compete in four events:

🦵 Punt
🏃 Run
💪 Pass
🏈 Kick

Scores from each event will be added together to determine the overall winners and winners within each age group.

All participants will receive a plaque or medal for taking part!

🙋 Parent Volunteers Needed

We welcome parents who are willing to help! We are looking for approximately 16 volunteers to help run the events and keep everything moving smoothly.

We hope to see lots of kids come out for an afternoon of football, competition, and fun! 🏈
