As we move into colder months, remember: Heating fires are a leading cause of home fires. Keep anything that can burn at least 3 feet from fireplaces, wood stoves, radiators, space heaters or candles. Ready.gov/winter-weather

It’s National School Bus Safety Week! Every day, many of our students rely on school buses to get to and from school safely—and keeping them safe is up to all of us.

Here’s how you can help protect our students:
Yellow means slow down: Prepare to stop when lights flash yellow.
Red means stop: Never pass a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.
Stay alert: Keep your eyes on the road and avoid distractions, especially near bus stops and school zones.
Give space: Leave plenty of room for buses to maneuver safely.
