Before, during, and after pictures from our May 30, 2026 maintenance evening at the Monarch Waystation.
Huge thank you to the Parks Department for helping protect and sustain this project. Over the years, we’ve also been fortunate to receive plants through the Native Plant Street Tree Pilot Program.
Some exciting finds in the beds this season:
• All beds include daffodil bulbs donated by the Daffodil Project
• Bed 2: Native yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
• Bed 3: A standout mix of yarrow, blue mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum), and butterfly w**d (Asclepias tuberosa), New York City’s official wildflower and a monarch favorite
• Bed 4: More yarrow coming in strong
In the coming weeks, we’ll be cutting back daffodil foliage, adding mulch, and continuing to steward the native plants as they emerge.
