The mission of God's Love We Deliver is to improve the health and well-being of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. We prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to people who, because of their illness, are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves. We also provide illness-specific nutrition education and counseling to our clients, families, care providers and other service organizations. All of our services are provided free of charge without regard to income.

Thank you to founders Greg Williamson (Gregory Williamson) and Nicole Rechter (.rechter), Dawn Kamerling (Dawn Kamerling), Chris Meloni (Chris Meloni), Edie Falco, Susie Essman (Susie Essman), and the whole SoHo Sessions team for coming in for a jam session prepping meals for our clients!

What a night! ✨ The room was glowing, the music was playing, and the energy was pure joy as we gathered to support our neighbors at the 20th annual Golden Heart Awards.

Over 700 of us gathered to celebrate 20 years of our gala and it’s meaningful impact on those we serve. We honored the talented Misty Copeland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Andrew Scott, three icons who bring so much heart to everything they do. Thank you to everyone who danced, laughed, and showed up for our neighbors!

“A meal from God’s Love We Deliver is about the preservation of life, of course. But it’s also about the joy of life.”

Following a heartfelt presentation actor and writer Stephen Beresford () on Monday night at our Golden Heart Awards, Andrew Scott received the Golden Heart Award for Outstanding Humanitarianism & Cultural Impact. Through performances defined by empathy, vulnerability, and courage, Andrew has used storytelling to illuminate our shared humanity and help audiences feel seen.

That commitment continues in his upcoming film “Elsinore” (Elsinore), the story of actor Ian Charleson preparing to play “Hamlet” while living with AIDS. Andrew’s reflections on the film and his reminder that nourishment preserves both life and its joy held special meaning for GLWD, as our life-saving work began during the AIDS epidemic. Andrew’s sincerity, humor, and generous spirit brought warmth and optimism to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (St. John the Divine), and we are honored to welcome him into the GLWD family.
