You cannot always measure confidence on a report card.

But you can see it.

It is raising your hand when you are not completely sure.
Trying the activity you have never tried before.
Taking on a challenge that once felt too big.
Starting to imagine what you might want your future to look like.

Middle school is full of those moments.

At Great Oaks Legacy, we want scholars leaving those years ready for more — academically, personally and with the confidence to step into whatever comes next.

💙 Confidence for what comes next.

Applications for the 2027–28 school year are now open through the Newark Common App.

NOW THAT'S A HOCKEY NIGHT! 🔴🏒🔥

Four goals. A highlight-reel beauty from Arseny Gritsyuk. 31 saves from Jake Allen. And a 4-3 New Jersey Devils WIN! 😈

Our GOLCS staff and families brought the energy to The Rock on Tuesday night, enjoying incredible VIP seats and a thrilling victory over the Colorado Avalanche!

A HUGE thank-you to the Devils Youth Foundation for treating our GOLCS family to such an unforgettable night. Great hockey, great company, and a whole lot of Jersey pride!

Nobody starts at graduation.

It starts much earlier.

With a classroom where a child feels known.
A challenge they learn to overcome.
A new interest they cannot stop talking about.
A little more confidence than they had yesterday.

Those small moments become something much bigger.

At Great Oaks Legacy, we are thinking about where your child can go from the very beginning.

💙 Big futures start small.

Some schools go quiet on Saturdays. Not ours. 👀📚

While the rest of Newark is easing into the weekend, our Great Oaks Legacy Charter School hallways are filling up with 8th graders and high school scholars who have their eyes on something bigger.

Their futures. 💙💛

Every Saturday, our Griffins are back in the classroom for PSAT preparation, sharpening their skills, building confidence, and putting in the work that can make a difference when it matters most.

Because college readiness does not magically happen in 11th or 12th grade. It starts with the habits, preparation, and opportunities we create long before then.

And these scholars? They're putting in the work. 👏

Monday through Friday is just the beginning at GOLCS.

🧡 Small voices. BIG message. Bullying has no place here.

In recognition of Unity Day and National Bullying Prevention Month, our HES Griffins came together for a special reading of "No, Bully!" by Nikki Aksamit. 📖

Scholars and staff shared a powerful reminder that kindness matters, words have an impact, and standing up for one another starts with each of us.

At Great Oaks Legacy, our RISE values are more than words on a wall. They are how we show up for one another, every single day. 💙💛

🎥 Watch our HES community turn the page on bullying!

The tests are over. But we're STILL feeling this energy! 🔥💙💛

Before our Griffins put pencils to paper for Round 1 of ANet testing, Legacy Elementary School had one very important assignment:

BRING. THE. ENERGY. 📣

And judging by this pep rally? Assignment understood. ✅

From the cheers to the school spirit, LES made sure our scholars walked into testing week feeling encouraged, confident, and ready to give it their all.

Now that Round 1 is officially behind us, we're throwing it back to the celebration that helped kick things off!

🎬 Turn up the volume and see how LES gets its Griffins ready to RISE!
