Halloween is only a few days away! 🎃👻

Here are the Trick-or-Treat hours for Hamilton County's cities and towns.
With a few simple reminders:

🔦Be Seen, Be Safe:
- Carry a flashlight or glow stick and add reflective tape to costumes when trick-or-treating after dark.

🚶‍➡️Walk Smart:
- Use sidewalks whenever possible, cross at intersections and always look both ways before crossing the street.
- Young children should be accompanied by an adult while older children should trick or treat with friends and have a planned route.

🦸Costume Safety:
- Choose flame-resistant costumes and comfortable shoes.
- Avoid long capes or loose clothing that can cause tripping.
- Make sure masks don't block vision.

🍬Candy Check:
- Only eat factory-wrapped treats.
- Parents should inspect all candy before eating.

🚗For Drivers:
- Slow down in neighborhoods and be alert for trick-or-treaters.
- Turn on headlights early to spot kids from farther away.

Have a safe, fun, and spooktacular Halloween!

The Hamilton County Juvenile Services Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate a shed built by youth in our facility! 🧰🔨

Over the past year, participants have gained hands-on construction experience while learning important skills, including job safety. This program is made possible through opioid settlement funds, providing opportunities for growth, skill development, and a positive path forward.

A special thank-you to Deeply Ingrained for helping facilitate this and providing these valuable learning opportunities. We're proud to celebrate the hard work and accomplishment that went into bringing this project to life! 👏

🚜 Happy National Farmer’s Day! 🌾As farmers work hard to bring in the harvest, you may see more tractors and farm equipment traveling on our roads. Remember to share the road and give them the space they need to travel safely!

A huge thank you to the Flanders family who shared their time and perspective with us to help promote safer roads for everyone this harvest season!

Please remember:
🚜Slow down when approaching agricultural vehicles
⚠️Pass with caution – only when it’s safe and legal
⤴️Watch for wide turns – farm equipment often needs extra room to maneuver
📱Avoid distractions – put the phone down and stay focused

Farmers are working hard to bring in the crops. A few extra seconds of patience can prevent a serious crash.
Let’s all be careful out there and have a safe harvest season!
