The funds raised at this event directly impact our ability to deliver hot meals and critical care to homebound senior citizens right here in Moore. If you or someone you know makes a great pot of chili, please consider giving back and entering the contest! Every pot entered brings us one step closer to making sure no senior in our community goes hungry or feels forgotten.

Volunteer Spotlight: Dwayne M. 🌟

If you live in Moore, chances are you already know the incredible Dwayne M.!

Dwayne is a true pillar of our community. Every single week, Monday through Friday, he dedicates his time to volunteering with Aging Services Moore. But his dedication doesn't stop there, before and after his shift at ASI, Dwayne is behind the wheel driving Moore school children safely to and from school every day. 🚌 ❤️

Starting and ending his days making sure our kids and our seniors are cared for? That’s genuine dedication.

Thank you, Dwayne, for everything you do to keep Moore moving forward and supported! Help us show Dwayne some love in the comments below! 👇✨

Keeping well, especially as we age, is about more than just dodging one specific bug. It's about building strong, resilient bodies. We’ve compiled a comprehensive guide with 9 simple ways for seniors to boost their health and protect themselves from common illnesses like colds, the flu, and respiratory viruses.

Take action every day with fundamental hygiene: Rigorous Hand Washing is crucial, and Not Touching Your Face prevents germ transfer.

Be mindful of your social surroundings: Aim to Avoid Sick People and keep a safe distance, while also Avoiding Crowds during high-transmission periods.

Don't forget your preventative steps! This includes staying current with your Vaccinations (as recommended by your doctor), and taking care of your body from the inside out. Focus on a Healthy Diet, stay active with regular Exercise, keep your Hydration high, and ensure you get sufficient, restful Sleep.

Protecting our senior community is a shared effort. Share these tips with the seniors in your life and their caregivers. What's your go-to habit for a healthy season? Let us know in the comments! 👇
