Our commitment continues beyond October.

As Domestic Violence Awareness Month comes to an end, the North Little Rock Police Department’s Special Victims Unit and staff remain committed to supporting survivors and families affected by domestic violence.

Our Victim Assistance Program provides support, resources, and guidance through the judicial process to North Little Rock residents impacted by violent crime.

Detective Tims consistently goes above and beyond in his work, demonstrating dedication, professionalism, and a strong commitment to the cases he handles. His determination to see things through, positive attitude, and willingness to put in the extra effort reflect the very best of NLRPD.

Open to eligible North Little Rock families with children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.

A CRIME STOPPERS REWARD is being offered for information leading to the whereabouts of Mr. Charles Noise.

70- year-old Charles Noise was last seen at The Blossoms at North Little Rock Rehab & Nursing Center (2501 John Ashley) on 8-29-26, at approx. 11:00p.m.

Mr. Noise is approx. 6’0” tall and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing either a black or blue plaid jacket or shirt and a baseball hat.

Mr. Noise suffers from Alzheimer's, Type 2 Diabetes, Kidney Disease, Depression, and may be combative.

We encourage anyone with information on the whereabouts of Charles Noise to contact the NLRPD Tip Line at (501) 680-8439 or Detective Lonnell Tims at 501-771-7165.

***HOMICIDE ARREST***
On 10-17-26, at approx. 8:38 p.m., Officers with NLRPD responded to the 6500 block of Farmstead Rd in reference to a report of an individual who had been shot. Officers located 31-year-old Kevin Giles lying on the ground suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment, where he later died.

Detectives identified 42-year-old Jamaal Wesley Jr. of Little Rock as a suspect in the shooting death of Kevin Giles.

On 10-18-26, Jamaal Wesley Jr., turned himself into Hot Springs PD. He was arrested for an active warrant for one count of Capital Murder. Mr. Wesley was transported to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility, where he is currently being held without bond.

***Homicide Investigation***

On October 17, 2026, at approx. 8:38 pm, Officers with NLRPD responded to the 6500 block of Farmstead Rd in reference to a report of an individual who had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male lying on the ground suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, where he later died.

NLRPD Detectives were notified and responded to the scene to initiate a homicide investigation.

The name of the deceased is not being released at this time pending the notification of the next of kin.

We encourage anyone who may have information regarding this incident to call the NLRPD Tip Line at 501-680-8439 or Detective William Williams at 501-771-7151. Those with information can remain anonymous.
